Born and raised in the Bronx, retired Sergeant Elizabeth Gesualdo is a twenty-five (25) year veteran of the New York City Police Department. During her tenure while on patrol, she started doing presentations on Domestic Violence to members of the community, which lead her to becoming a recruit and civilian instructor at the New York City Police Academy. Besides her duties as an instructor, she became the curriculum coordinator for the Behavioral Science Department. After promotion to Sergeant, she was eventually assigned to the Deputy Commissioner of Community Affairs Office, where she was a curriculum coordinator for the main unit, and then eventually for the Youth Services Section, where she had dual duty as the curriculum coordinator and training sergeant.
Transferred back to the Police Academy, Sergeant Gesualdo headed the Instructor Development Unit, where all members of the New York City Police Department who want to become trainers must attend the eleven (11) day N.Y.S. D.C.J.S. Methods of Instruction Course. Elizabeth's last stop on her journey was the Firearms and Tactics Section, where she held the positions of curriculum coordinator, training sergeant, and administrative sergeant. Sergeant Gesualdo holds the N.Y.S. D.C.J.S. titles in General Topics, Mental Health and Firearms Instructor. She is also a National Rifle Association Instructor in Pistol, Rifle and Refuse to be a Victim and a Range Safety Officer as well as a N.Y.S. D.C.J.S. Armed Guard Instructor and Utah Pistol Permit Instructor.
By day in her retired life from the N.Y.P.D., Elizabeth works for the family bakery and at night, she is a Range Safety Officer and Instructor at Blueline. She loves sports, music and good conversation with friends over a great meal.
